Water restored to 87 pct of affected areas in Klang Valley

SHAH ALAM, Nov 12 — Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) announced water supply has been restored to 87 per cent of the 1,279 areas in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur that were hit by the recent water disruption.

“As of 3pm today, the recovery of the water supply has run smoothly where water to 1,110 affected areas have been fully restored.

“Full recovery to all areas can be expected by 3pm tomorrow (November 13, 2020),” said its chief executive officer Suhaimi Kamaralzaman during a press conference today.

“As for the remaining 169 areas, water supply will be restored in stages according to their residential locations,” he added.

Air Selangor announced that water restoration to all districts is underway with Kuala Selangor and Petaling at 99 per cent restored, Hulu Selangor (91 per cent), Kuala Langat (80 per cent), Kuala Lumpur (95 per cent), Klang/Shah Alam (70 per cent) and Gombak (65 per cent).

“We understand the disappointment among users especially those who are making preparations to celebrate Deepavali this coming Saturday,” Suhaimi added.
