SHAH ALAM, Nov 26 — Selangor has recorded 161 new Covid-19 cases today out of the country’s daily total of 935 cases.
The state also saw two imported cases reported in Kuala Langat.
“Out of the 161 new cases reported in Selangor today, 52 were from existing clusters, 25 from close-contact screenings, and 82 others were identified from other Covid-19 screenings,” said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a statement today.
“Sabah has recorded the highest daily cases with 326 cases. This is followed by Selangor with 161 infections and Negeri Sembilan at 158.”
Based on the statistics by the Selangor State Health Department’s Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) Petaling recorded the highest number of infections with 81 cases, followed by Klang (41), Sepang (24), Kuala Selangor (6), Hulu Langat (5) and Kuala Langat (2).
No new cases were recorded in Gombak, Hulu Selangor and Sabak Bernam.
As of noon today, the cumulative figure of coronavirus recorded in the state stands at 12,854, out of the total 60,752 cases registered nationwide.
