SHAH ALAM, Dec 4 — The 100-days Approval Policy implemented by the Selangor government since January has managed to attract a development value of RM216 million into the state.
Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the policy that allows permission of land development management and planning permission to be reduced to 100 days from 270 days is seen as investor-friendly.
“Before this, investors needed to wait between six to nine months to obtain approval.
“However, since the policy was introduced, the total value of development approved reached RM216 million. This is a good development and a positive sign,” Amirudin said on Facebook.
He said the policy will be continued to improve and revitalise the state’s development as well as help the economic sector to recover post-pandemic.
“We are confident that investors are eager about this business-friendly policy practised by the state government as it brings positive socio-economic development to the people,” he said.
On January 24, the Selangor government announced the 100-Days Approval Policy to expedite the approval process of all applications for land development approvals, including permission to plan (KM), building plan (PB) and infrastructure plan (PI), which on average takes 270 days to complete.
The policy was finalised by the Economic Planning Unit Meeting according to the Premium Deposit Payment Mechanism set by the Selangor Land Registry Office.
