MB: Do not take advantage of leeway given to exercise outdoors during MCO

SHAH ALAM, Jan 24 — The public has been advised to not take advantage of the leeway given to cycle and jog outdoors during the movement control order (MCO) period.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the set guidelines must be complied with to avoid others being affected by the noncompliance.

“Abide by the standard operating procedure (SOP) in our every move and activities to protect ourselves and break the Covid-19 chain of infection,” he said on Twitter.

Amirudin made the statement after a video of a group of people were cycling in Taman Hillpark-Seri Pristana, Sungai Buloh, was shared on social media yesterday.

Authorities have allowed people to cycle and jog within their neighbourhood parks during the MCO, which was reimplemented on January 13 and extended until February 4.
