Employers should bring in foreign workers for free screening

SERI KEMBANGAN, March 7 — Employers are encouraged to bring foreign workers to the Covid-19 community screening organised by the state government.

Selcare Covid-19 screening coordinator, Abdul Hadri Hakimi Abdul Rahman said employers are advised to take advantage of the free programme.

“I hope the community uses this opportunity because from there (the programme) we can trace their locality and at the same time be able to break the chain of the pandemic,” he said when met at the screening programme at the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) Multipurpose Hall, in Seri Kembangan here, yesterday.

In the Kita Selangor Package, the state government allocated RM6 million to carry out free targeted screening to curb the spread of the pandemic.

The programme is expected to benefit 50,000 people, focussing on target groups such as the elderly, especially in old folks’ care centres and hemodialysis centres throughout the state, including low-income groups (B40) and Selangor students.
