SERDANG, May 13 — The state government donated more than 6,000 Aidilfitri food packs to the frontliners and patients at the Covid-19 Integrated Quarantine and Treatment Centre (PKRC) 2.0 at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park (MAEPS) in Serdang.
Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the contribution was given to more than 4,000 patients and 1,200 frontliners, most of whom are Selangor citizens.
“This is our small contribution to the patients and frontliners who have worked hard for months to deal with the Covid-19 outbreak.
“On behalf of the state government, we definitely would like to thank and congratulate those who continue to help and maintain the quarantine centre, the majority of whom are from Selangor,” he said after holding a short visit to meet the frontliners and present the Aidilfitri food packs here today.
Amirudin said he was informed that patients from other states such as Perak, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan and Melaka were also sent to the quarantine centre.
“We are proud that Selangor and MAEPS were chosen as the treatment location. Our frontliners will always help from time to time to continue the fight and curb the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
