Four-day free Covid-19 screening in Gombak starts today

SHAH ALAM, May 18 — The Selangor’s free Covid-19 screening programme will be held across the Gombak district for four days beginning today, says the Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 (STFC).

The testing operation will begin at 9am today and runs simultaneously at Dewan Serbaguna MPAJ in Bukit Antarabangsa and Dewan Serbaguna MAPJ AU2 in Hulu Kelang.

“The screening initiative will continue tomorrow in Sungai Tua at Dewan Seri Siantan and in Gombak Setia at Dewan Beringin.

“On May 20 (Thursday), the programme will be held in Rawang at Dewan Batu 17 and in Taman Templer at Dewan Seroja Kampung Bendahara, while in Kuang, it will take place at Dewan Serbaguna Kuang on May 21 (Friday),” said the task force.

The Selangor government is conducting active monitoring of the Covid-19 situation in the state by initiating free screenings across the 56 state constituencies beginning May 8 until June 10.

To date, a total of 8,585 individuals have been tested in several constituencies, namely Kajang, Semenyih, Sungai Ramal, Balakong, Teratai dan Dusun Tua, Lembah Jaya and Pandan Indah.

Out of the total figure, 388 positive Covid-19 cases were detected with a majority of the patients found to be asymptomatic.
