SHAH ALAM, May 26 — A total of 87 Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) staff have been tested positive for Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic early last year.
Its mayor Noraini Roslan said to date, there are 17 active cases involving its staff.
“A total of 590 staff have received the Covid-19 vaccine and out of the total, 572 have completed two doses of vaccine,” said Noraini during the council’s full board meeting held online yesterday.
Meanwhile, Noraini said four state constituencies under the purview of the local council have conducted the free Covid-19 community screening, namely Seri Kembangan, Seri Serdang, Kinrara and Subang Jaya, involving 12,522 total tests.
“The purpose of the testing is to ensure all levels of the society would be able to get themselves screened, including those who are asymptomatic, to reduce the risks of workplace and community transmission,” she said.
