KELANA JAYA, July 23 — A total of 2,000 residents in Seri Setia state constituency have been registered under the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax) for the community (Selvax Community) as of today.

Its state assemblyman Halimey Abu Bakar said the numbers were recorded from June 30 and the registration is still open especially for those who have yet to receive their Covid-19 vaccine slots.

“We welcome all residents in the area to register as the programme is open to all groups regardless of race,” he said when met by SelangorKini during the Selvax Community programme for Seri Setia state constituency.

The vaccination process will be carried out from 9.30am until 7pm at Dewan PKNS SS7, Kelana Jaya.

Halimey said the approach used to inform the residents about the programme are through the broadcast messages on WhatsApp and social media.

“So far, I was informed that many residents have received the vaccine from the Health Ministry and most of them are senior citizens.

“For those who are not vaccinated yet, they are required to register immediately to help the government to achieve herd immunity,” he said.

On June 30, Selangor had launched Selvax Community and Selvax Industry to complement and expedite the vaccination process to the people in the state.

The program will benefit 1.25 million people in Selangor, especially the low-income group, senior citizens and industrial workers.
