Encouraging turnout in Dengkil for vaccine shots

SEPANG, Sept 24 — Over 2,000 people in the Dengkil constituency participated in the Selangor Vaccination Programme’s mobile initiative (Selvax mobile) today.

Its coordinating officer, Hamidi A Hasan, said the state government’s initiative has greatly helped the local people in getting their Covid-19 shots as the mobile unit is strategically located and has an easy registration process.

He said those who were previously left out from the main vaccination programme such as individuals who just turned 18 and undocumented foreign workers can now easily get the vaccine.

“The Delta variant is worrying thus we need to give the vaccine to as many people as possible.

“There may be individuals who did not receive their appointment slots through the Federal government’s vaccination programme, hence, Selvax has come to the rescue,” he said, when met at Pasar Awam Dengkil, today.

The programme, which started on September 12, aims to ensure that no one is left behind in getting their vaccination.

It is open to individuals aged 18 and above, including non-citizens, and pre-registration must be made via the SELangkah mobile app.
