SHAH ALAM, Nov 23 — Selangor government has mobilised several state agencies to help victims who were affected by flash floods in Ampang, Hulu Langat and Gombak yesterday.

Menteri Besar said the local authorities (PBT), KDEB Waste Management together with the service centre and state constituency coordinators will provide emergency assistance and assist in the evacuation process.

“Team Selangor and Selangor Volunteer (Serve) are also helping with the cleaning. Immediate action has been taken to help the victims in the affected areas,” said Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari on Facebook today.

According to him, the state government will continue to monitor the current situation, especially during the monsoon season and heavy rains that are predicted by the Malaysian Meteorological Department.

Last night, several areas around the three districts experienced flash floods after heavy rain lasting for almost three hours in the Klang Valley.

In Ampang, the affected areas are Taman Hillview, Kampung Lembah Jaya Utara and Lembah Jaya Selatan.
