Routes passing through Shah Alam toll plaza now accessible

SHAH ALAM, Dec 22 — All routes heading towards the entrance and exit of Shah Alam Toll Plaza near Section U8 Bukit Jelutong, here, is now accessible since 10am, today.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said in a Berita Harian report that several lanes at the toll plaza were closed due to rising water levels.

“Other areas are also under control, the rains have subsided and the toll plaza is now accessible,” he was quoted by the Malay daily.

Earlier, several roads heading to the toll plaza were flooded following heavy downpours in Shah Alam areas at around 4am.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) had at 9.30am today issued thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong wind warning to several areas in Selangor, namely Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Klang, Petaling, Kuala Langat and Sepang.
