SHAH ALAM, Jan 30 — Some 70,000 people from the adult population have received the booster dose under the Selangor Vaccination (Selvax) Booster initiative since its launch in December last year.
Selgate Healthcare Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Tengku Iesta Tengku Alaudin said the programme had received a good response and is still ongoing.
“The public could walk in (after pre-booking their slots via the SELangkah mobile app),” he said when met yesterday.
The Selvax Booster had kicked off on December 8, 2021, with a total of 157,000 doses allocated for individuals aged 18 years old and above who have completed their two doses of Covid-19 vaccination.
The list of participating clinics is available on selcareclinic.com/our-clinics/ or through the SELangkah app.
Apart from the Selcare clinics, the booster doses were administered in seven state constituencies from December 7 last year until January 14.
On June 30 last year, the state government had launched the Selvax Community and Selvax Industry programmes to complement the national vaccination effort and expedite the process for Selangor citizens.
The Selvax Community was aimed at the senior citizens and low-income groups, while the Selvax Industry focuses on the labour force, including foreign workers.
