SHAH ALAM, Feb 16 — A total of 50 primary school students living in Pangsapuri Sri Aman, Petaling Jaya, received new sets of school supplies, on Monday (February 14).

Kampung Tunku state assemblyman Lim Yi Wei said the aid to help parents who were badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic were donated by For the Kids and Angkatan Demokrat non-governmental-organisation (NGO).

“Each pupil received water tumbler, food container, stationery items, colouring equipment and personal hygiene kits.

“Hopefully, this contribution can help ease the burden of parents and help young children in the pursuit of knowledge,” she told SelangorKini.

Previously, the state constituency service centre had distributed more than 2,000 food baskets to the residents in the surrounding areas who were affected by Covid-19.

Lim said the food aid programme which started during the movement control order (MCO) 3.0 is still being continued to ensure that no one was cut off from getting basic food supplies.
