SHAH ALAM, March 26 — A total of 118 Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) employees received the Excellent Service Award for 2021 yesterday.
Subang Jaya mayor Dato’ Johary Anuar said the awards were to recognise the contribution and dedication of the local council staff in performing their duties.
He said each recipient is given a Sijil Simpanan Premium (SSPN) worth RM1,000 and a certificate of appreciation.
“Congratulations and I hope these rewards can motivate the recipients to continue to serve with excellence thus creating healthy competition among MBSJ employees.
“Hopefully, their success will also be an impetus for other staff to continue to improve their productivity, creativity and innovation,” he said.
He said this while speaking at the MBSJ 2021 Excellent Service Award ceremony at the Shah Alam Convention Centre yesterday which was also attended by the Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
At the same time, MBSJ also celebrated 12 retirees who had served for 25 years with certificates of appreciation and consolation money amounting to RM1,200.
Also honoured were five members of MBSJ’s Special Action Squad (Pantas) who performed their duties with full dedication when the floods hit in December last year.
MBSJ also recognises four of its athletes who have made MBSJ famous at the national and international levels through the Special Sports Award.
