SHAH ALAM, May 21 — The state government’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house for the Petaling district went off well with nearly 5,000 visitors.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari and his wife Datin Seri Masdiana Mohamad were also in attendance to lighten the mood at the open house, which took place at Padang Awam MBSJ Puchong Indah earlier today.
Also present were Selangor State Secretary Datuk Haris Kasim, Petaling district officer Mohd Jusni Hashim, state executive councillor for health Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud and state executive councillor for local government Ng Sze Han.
During the event, Amirudin presented duit raya to children and mingled with the guests.
They were also entertained with performances by popular local singers Jay Jay and Ramlah Ram, who sang festive songs.
The Selangor open houses kicked off on May 15 and conclude today, to allow the public to enjoy themselves after two years of being cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The programme began in Hulu Selangor, followed by Gombak, Hulu Langat and Sepang, which drew thousands to attend.
Lasting three hours, the open houses also took place in Kuala Langat, Kuala Selangor, Sabak Bernam and ends in Petaling and Klang.
