SHAH ALAM, May 30 — Yayasan Hijrah Selangor (Hijrah) has allocated over RM10.1 million to 115 entrepreneurs under the i-Lestari financing scheme as of April this year.

Its promotion executive Muhammad Ihsan Mohammad Rosdi Kamal said the financing scheme has helped recipients expand their business activities.

“As of now, the repayment progress is very good and has reached 107 per cent since most of the entrepreneurs paid their financing in excess of the prescribed amount.

“Meanwhile, we are currently reviewing 72 other applications which are undergoing the approval process,” he told SelangorKini.

Entrepreneurs seeking further information on financing can contact Hijrah’s 20 branches and submit their application at http://www.hijrahselangor.com.

On October 27 last year, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari launched the Hijrah Islamic financing initiative including the i-Lestari, i-Agro and i-Bermusim schemes.

The schemes were introduced to help entrepreneurs rehabilitate and restart their businesses which were affected due to Covid-19.

Amirudin said the financing amount was increased from RM50,000 to RM100,000 to help entrepreneurs expand their businesses.
