Downpour in two Selangor districts until early afternoon

SHAH ALAM, June 8 — Heavy rain, strong winds and thunderstorms are anticipated for the district of Kuala Langat and Sepang until early afternoon.

Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in a statement released at 11am said the inclement weather will last until 1pm today.

The agency said other states and locations which are expected to undergo strong weather include Negeri Sembilan (Seremban and Port Dickson).

The agency issues a warning when there are signs of thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm/hour which are expected to occur over the one-hour duration.

Thunderstorm warnings are short-term and are valid within six hours after it was issued.
