Affordable goods sale continues in Kampung Bukit Naga today

SHAH ALAM, June 18 — The Jualan Ehsan roadshow offering fresh daily necessities at low prices compared to the market continues at the parking lot of Masjid Al-Bakri in Kampung Bukit Naga, Shah Alam, today.

The Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) said the sale from 9.30am to 12pm has a variety of items on offer including chicken, fish, beef, fruits and vegetables.

The sale offers discount prices for chicken at RM10 per 800g or RM25 for two kg, fresh beef and bone at RM33 per kg, Grade B chicken eggs at RM12 per board, as well as mackerel and selayang fish at RM8 per kg.

On May 19, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the Ehsan Food Prices Intervention Programme has managed to benefit up to 60,000 families since its implementation in December last year in over 50 locations throughout the state.

The Jualan Prihatin Rakyat initiative is aimed at reducing the burden of the people as well as providing them with the opportunity to purchase enough fresh foods like chicken, fish, beef, fruits and vegetables.

In addition, the sale of chicken at the affordable foodstuffs programme has been increased from 10,000 to 20,000 pieces since May, due to high demand in Selangor.
