Jualan Ehsan for Aidiladha starts tomorrow

SHAH ALAM, July 4 — The public can now purchase affordable goods and produce in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration for four consecutive days, at five locations from July 5 to July 8.

The first location is at Taman Perwira in Sijangkang (July 5), followed by the location opposite Petron Section BB8, Jalan Kantan 2 in Bukit Beruntung (July 6) and Dataran Batu Laut in Tanjung Sepat (July 7).

On July 8, the sale will take place simultaneously at Jalan GP2, Taman Gombak Permai in Gombak and behind Blocks D and E of Pangsapuri Inai in Pandan Indah.

The products offered are fresh whole chicken at RM15 each, grade B eggs at RM12 per tray, cooking oil at RM2 per packet, fresh meat at RM35 per kg and frozen fish at RM8 per packet.

Selangor Agriculture Development Corporation (PKPS) chief executive officer Mohamad Khairil Mohamad Razi said the Jualan Ehsan sale carnival from 9am to 2pm will also sells rice, glutinous rice, mini ketupat, flour, bottled cooking oil and sugar.

“Each location provides 2,000 chickens, 1,000 trays of grade B chicken eggs, 1,700 packets of cooking oil, 1,000 kg of fresh meat and 100 packets of frozen fish.

“Purchases are limited and at retail. Only two units for each item are allowed for each buyer,” he said on July 1.

Mohamad Khairil added the initiative is to help residents get fresh goods and to reduce the burden of rising food costs ahead of Hari Raya Aidiladha.

“This carnival is part of the Ehsan Intervention Programme that commenced at the start of the year, in collaboration with the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama), Kohijrah Selangor and Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB),” he said.
