TFC beats Selangor 4-2 in semifinal penalty shootout to enter FA cup final

KUALA NERUS, Aug 7 — Terengganu FC (TFC) will go up against Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in the FA Cup final and after beating Selangor FC 4-2 in the penalty shootout after drawing 1-1 in the semifinal match at Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium last night.

Selangor had nearly gone ahead in the seventh minute but Nor Hakim Hassan’s shot was stopped by goalkeeper Rahadiazli Rahalim. TFC then counterattacked only to see an attempt by Petrus Shitembi go wide of the post.

Selangor managed to score first in the 23rd minute through Nor Hakim but TFC equalised in the 48th minute, thanks to Faisal Halim.

The result remained at 1-1 even at the end of extra time, leading to the penalty shootout, which was won by TFC 4-2.
