SHAH ALAM, Aug 11 — The DoubleTree by Hilton brand continues is expansion since it was first established in Malaysia over a decade ago.
Hilton (Southeast Asia) senior operation director Jamie Mead said the brand has succeeded in establishing six hotels throughout the country, despite facing numerous challenges over the years.
He said the hotels are located in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya Lakeside, Johor Bahru, Melaka, and Penang, with the newest branch at i-City in Shah Alam.
“Hilton has been present in Malaysia since 1973 while the DoubleTree by Hilton was introduced in 2010. I am proud that as of now, we have 13 operational properties under the Hilton brand.
“Even though the world faces uncertainties, we as a brand will continue to expand and provide the best services to people globally, regardless of who they are and where they come from,” Mead said in his speech during at opening ceremony of the DoubleTree by Hilton Shah Alam.
The ceremony was graced by the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj earlier today.
Mead added the development of each hotel takes into consideration the environment balance, in line with the goal of reducing 50 per cent of carbon emissions.
“We also want to provide the best environment to our guests. Hence, one of our missions is to help conserve the earth,” he said.
