SHAH ALAM, Aug 21 — Some 3,000 food baskets were distributed to affected residents in the Kota Kemuning state constituency throughout this year so far.
Its state assemblyman V Ganabatirau said the initiative is ongoing since there are still more residents affected by the rising costs of living.
“Although the economy is starting to recover, we received information there are still people needing help as they have lost their jobs.
“We provide assistance with daily necessities including rice, dairy, sugar and biscuits worth RM50 to RM70,” he said to SelangorKini.
Ganabatirau also suggested residents requiring help can approach the state constituency public service centre, or otherwise speak to their village head or council member.
“They can also call 03-5525 4776 to inquire on the assistance provided,” he said.
