SHAH ALAM, Sept 19 — The Selangor football team has advanced to the semi-finals after defeating Pahang through a penalty shootout this evening.
Selangor FC said that after a 90-minute match at the Arena Stadium Universiti Malaya ended in a 0-0 draw, Selangor beat Pahang 7-6 on penalties.
“The Selangor team has defeated Pahang via penalty shootout after the game ended with a score of 0-0 for both teams.
“Selangor is scheduled to play against Terengganu at Stadium Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia on Wednesday,” it said on Facebook.
Previously, Selangor won Group A after winning over Perak (2-0), Negeri Sembilan (1-0) and drawing (1-1) with the Federal Territories to secure its spot in the quarterfinal rounds.
