SABAK BERNAM, Oct 15 — Selangor Pakatan Harapan (PH) will keep their focus on rural areas to ensure their candidates could win the seats in the 15th general election (GE15).
Its chairman Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the coalition’s machinery in the Sungai Besar and Sabak Bernam parliamentary constituencies must be strengthened.
“Based on the number of people who came to the launch of PH’s machinery in the said areas today, it seems very encouraging.
“I hope they can keep the momentum going until we achieve victory,” he said when met at Dewan Seri Bernam, here today.
Meanwhile, Amirudin said that PH has reached an understanding regarding candidates for the parliamentary seats in Selangor.
“We have concluded the distribution of parliamentary seats from the beginning, now only left with one or two state seats that have yet to be finalised,” he said.
Commenting further on the distribution of state seats, Amirudin said the matter will be resolved later since the state polls will not be held concurrently with GE15.
“We still have until next year to discuss the state seats and to seek agreements with other component parties in the coalition,” he said.
