Deepavali 2022: Sultan, Raja Permaisuri express hope the symbol of light will continue to shine in the spirit of unity

SHAH ALAM, Oct 24 — The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj and the Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin have extended their wishes to all Hindus for a happy Deepavali.

Both Their Royal Highnesses hope the festival of lights will be celebrated in a lively, harmonious, respectful and united atmosphere.

“May the abundance of light that is a symbol of Deepavali continue to illuminate the spirit of unity between races in Malaysia. Deepavali Valthukkal,” read the statement shared on Selangor Royal Office’s Facebook page.
