GM Klang offering SMEs more opportunities to showcase products

SHAH ALAM, Dec 1 — Known as a ‘wholesale shopping paradise’ among local and international visitors, GM Klang Wholesale City (GM Klang) is offering state governments and agencies throughout Malaysia the chance to showcase products made by their small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Recently, the popular wholesale centre has expanded its offerings to include products made by SMEs from Sabah and Melaka.

In a statement today, GM Klang’s Brand Communication manager Norsuhaida Othman said the initiative was a continuity of the collaboration agreement signed on May 27, 2022, between GM Klang and the Sabah Department of Industrial Development and Research.

The array of popular products from Sabah includes tuhau pickles, kelulut honey and kuih cincin, as well as traditional Sabah handicrafts such as bracelets and necklaces.

Meanwhile, products from Melaka SMEs include locally-made delicacies such as wajik, dodol and palm sugar.

“GM Klang consistently implements various initiatives to diversify its product offerings, especially locally-made products, while also acting as a platform to promote local products to international visitors.

“Now, members of the public and entrepreneurs no longer need to travel far to get their stocks as the products are easily accessible through GM Klang Wholesale City,” added Norsuhaida.
