SHAH ALAM, Dec 5 — The 2022 Selangor Budget allocation for development expenditure has been used 65.38 per cent, or RM 734.2 million, as of October 31.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said that he is confident that the expenditure can reach up to 90 per cent by the end of this year from the overall approved total of RM1.123 billion.

“This is based on last year’s performance and expenditure record because part of the financial use will only be completed when a project or programme is implemented,” he said in answer to Semenyih state assemblyman Zakaria Hanafi’s query on the matter during the Selangor State Legislative Assembly sitting, here today.

The Selangor government has allocated RM2.34 billion for the 2022 state budget with RM1.22 billion or 52 per cent for operating expenses and the balance for development.
