Selangor Zakat Board provides aid to flood victims in Sungai Besar

SHAH ALAM, Dec 19 — The Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) has handed over food aids and daily essential items to 20 flash-flood-affected-victims in Kampung Nelayan Sungai Besar, Sabak Bernam, yesterday.

The agency said the assistance was handed over during a visit programme attended by Panchang Bedena Subdistrict (Mukim) head, Village Community Management Councils (MPKK) chairman and the District Distribution Operation head.

“We handed over food aids and daily essential items to 20 flash flood victims in Kampung Nelayan Sungai Besar.

“During the visit programme we are able to learn more about their problems and other needs,” LZS said on Facebook yesterday.

The agency said all the victims will be listed to receive additional aid for minor repairs to their homes and replacement of damaged household appliances.

“We wish to thank all the zakat (tithe) contributors for enabling us to channel aid to those in need,” it said.
