SHAH ALAM, Jan 13 — Up to 477 free shirts will be distributed to the first visitors of the Shah Alam City Council’s (MBSA) Car-Free Day programme this Sunday (January 15).
Its corporate and public relations division head Shahrin Ahmad said various interesting activities will also be held during the event at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam.
They include the Fun Run, leisurely cycling, aerobics, as well as cultural dance performances, lion dances, MBSA combos, and prizes for the most creative clothes.
“MBSA will also provide activities for children like inflatable balloons, clowns, light cars, together with arts and crafts activities at the Anggerik Vanilla Mobile Library, and superhero mascots,” he said in a statement.
An eco-free market programme will also be held, which is the free distribution of second-hand goods donated by 40 contributors.
“Visitors only need to exchange recycled items like water bottles, glass bottles, aluminium cans, and old newspapers, to get coupons for items offered at the eco-free market,” Shahrin said.
