MPAJ invites public to join its free theatre, dance classes

SHAH ALAM, Feb 15 — The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) has invited members of the public to join its theater and dance academy in February, March and May this year.

The dance classes will be held on February 11 and February 25, March 4 and March 18, and May 13 and May 27. Dance classes will take place on February 12 and February 19, March 5, March 18, and March 19, and on May 7, May 14, and May 18.

Held at Galeri MPAJ in Menara MPAJ Pandan Indah, the programme will also involve teachers from Sekolah Seni Malaysia, as well as the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) as trainers.

“Up to 25 participants will be given exposure to voice acting, singing and the production process of a performance during the theatre classes.

“For the dance class, 21 participants have taken part. Participants of various ages were taught traditional Malay dances,” it said in a statement.

The MPAJ Cultural Academy invites those interested in actively being a part of dance and theater performances to obtain the latest information from MPAJ’s Facebook page.
