SHAH ALAM, July 21 — Selangor’s Poverty Eradication Blueprint Assistance programme has provided business equipment assistance to 4,321 entrepreneurs, with an allocation of RM21.6 million, since 2013, said state socio-economic development executive councillor V. Ganabatirau.

Ganabatirau said the programme aims to support entrepreneurs with a monthly income of less than RM3,000 to improve their socio-economic status.

“The state government is committed to transparency in ensuring state funds are prudently utilised.

“We are dedicated to being at the forefront of assisting our people,” he said in a video posted to his Facebook page.

Ganabatirau said the programme has continuously evolved and the application limit has been increased to RM10,000 from RM5,000 to better serve beneficiaries.

In Selangor’s Budget 2023, RM2 million was allocated for the Poverty Eradication Blueprint Assistance programme.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari previously said this assistance, provided in the form of equipment or machinery, specifically targets traders, merchants, and self-employed people, aiming to empower and uplift their businesses.
