SHAH ALAM, March 23 — The special cash incentive of one month’s salary received by state civil servants will the burden of preparing for Hari Raya Aidilfitri and purchasing school supplies for their children.
Nurulain Ja’far Sidik, 52, who has been in service for over 20 years, expressed gratitude as she said the state administration always prioritises its personnel’s welfare, especially during festive seasons.
“Alhamdulillah, throughout my service in Selangor, the assistance given every year has never disappointed me.
“I thank the state government for always looking after us. InsyaAllah, this assistance can help me buy Aidilfitri clothes for my three children,” said the Selangor Malay Customs and Heritage Corporation (Padat) employee.
Nurulain was speaking to SelangorKini during the fast-breaking ceremony with department heads and Selangor civil servants at Dewan Raja Muda Musa in Kompleks Belia dan Kebudayaan Selangor yesterday.
Meanwhile, Kuala Langat Municipal Council employee Shahrulnizam Khalil, 48, said that apart from preparing for Aidilfitri, the special assistance will also go to purchasing school equipment for his five children.
“Alhamdulillah, this bonus comes at the right time. As a father of five children, this assistance is very meaningful.
“Moreover, the bonus will also motivate civil servants to work with more enthusiasm and productivity,” said the 22-year civil servant.
During the Mahabbah Ramadan Madani ceremony earlier yesterday, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari announced the incentive, equivalent to one month’s salary or a minimum of RM1,000, in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
He said the Kita Selangor Special Financial Assistance Aidilfitri 2024 will involve RM45 million and will be distributed on April 8.
The same assistance is also given to Federal government civil servants serving under the Selangor State Secretariat.
