Floods: Selangor relief centres slightly ease up

KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 — According to the latest report from the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma), the number of flood evacuees in Selangor has decreased from 597 people to 483 people as at 4 pm yesterday.

Of the figure, 227 victims from 62 families are still being accommodated at a relief centre (PPS) in Klang, while 256 victims from 55 families are housed in another PPS in Petaling Jaya.

Meanwhile, floods in Melaka and Negeri Sembilan have fully receded as of 8 pm yesterday with all evacuees allowed to return home.
