PUCHONG, JUL 19: The People’s Justice Party (KEADILAN) is ready to cooperate with any political party and individuals who agree to make the reform agenda championed by the party in its effort to oppose Umno-Barisan Nasional (BN) a success.
KEADILAN Deputy President Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said that the party welcomed the planned establishment of a new political party by former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
“This will only enhance the political atmosphere in the country but whether we will cooperate with the new party depends on the new party’s agenda and ideology.
“If the new party agrees to be part of the reform agenda then we definitely will cooperate with any political party and individuals who support it,” he told the media.
Dr Mahathir recently announced the formation of a new political party and an opposition coalition with KEADILAN, DAP and Amanah to contest against Umno-BN in the coming 14th General Election.
Among those said to be interested in the establishment of this new party are former Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, former Umno Vice President Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal and former Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhkriz Mahathir.
