Haze: Shah Alam records API of 86 at 11 am

SHAH ALAM AUG 17: The haze that afflicts our country every midyear is reported to be back.
The visibility around the Klang Valley and Shah Alam was limited due to the hazy and smoky conditions.
The Environment Department’s website showed that the Air Pollutant Index (API) for the entire country at 11 am was at moderate level, which is under 100 at several areas.
This included areas in Selangor such as Banting (79), Kuala Selangor, Pelabuhan Kelang (88), Petaling Jaya (72), Shah Alam (86).
Meanwhile, Putrajaya recorded an API of 76, Cheras (71), and Batu Muda (72).
API readings between 0-50 are categorised as Good, 51-100 (Moderate), 101-200 (Unhealthy); 201-300 (Very Unhealthy) dan 301-400 as Hazardous.
