SHAH ALAM, NOV 3: Alongside the people of Selangor, citizens from other states were also interested to know details of the Selangor Budget on its presentation day.
Sri Muda Assemblyman Shuhaimi Shafiei said that with regards to the State Government’s administration ability in bringing benefits to its people as a whole, even though the allocated funds prepared for this year’s budget is not as big as the Federal Government’s budget.
“It’s akin to a person who has only RM1,000 giving away RM50, while another person with RM2.5 billion cash only giving out RM100.
“Even though he gives RM100, the percentage is small compared to the other person who gives RM50,” he debated the 2017 Selangor Budget at the Selangor State Assembly sitting.
He further explained that the State Government allocated a large percentage to development, compared to the Federal Government Budget.
As in previous years, the Selangor Budget 2017 has again captured the people’s attention, including online users; especially as it presents big and fresh ideas and various plans for the people.
This, in comparison to the Barisan Nasional (BN) Government who has governed Malaysia for the past 50 years; yet their selfishness, lack of interest and enthusiasm in upgrading the people’s standard of living has caused them to generate only shallow ideas.
