UNISEL brings success to Empowering the Disable 3.0 programme

SHAH ALAM, NOV 30: Nearly 200 University Selangor (UNISEL) members organised a program called Mengupayakan Orang Kelainan Upaya 3.0 (MOKU3.0) or Empowering the Disable 3.0 program at Bestari Jaya Campus recently.
Corporate Communications Director Hasril Abu Hassan said they include 19 students with a Bachelors of Industrial Psychology, and over 150 participants of lecturers and students.
He said that the program had received the full cooperation of the Industrial Psychology Club (Psych-Inc) and the Centre for Community Networking (COMNET).
“It was designed to focus on special groups and was also a continuation of the young people’s cause to grant equal rights to people with disabilities,” he said in a statement.
Also scheduled was the book and video launch of a book entitle D.I.A ‘Disability is Ability’ produced by Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) students.

There were also performances by the autistic and dyslexic, and by Ili Akmal Mohd Razif who collaborated with LP Band and Inception.
To add interest, two songs that were performed, were his original works which can be downloaded on iTunes and are available online at Spotify, Soundcloud dan Youtube.
The President of Sabak Bernam Disable Association, Ismail Hisham, graced the program and was accompanied by the Dean of the School of Human Development (CDFS) UNISEL, Dr Hamdan Dato’ Mohd Salleh.
