10 pilot projects for Smart Selangor 2017

SHAH ALAM, DEC 7: A total of 10 Pilot Projects will be launched by 2017 to strengthen the implementation of the Smart State agenda in Selangor, said Smart Selangor Delivery Unit (SSDU) Deputy Director Dr Fahmi Ngah.
He said the project consists of several main components to realise the State Government’s intention to turn Selangor as a Smart State by 2025.
“The project consists of four main cores that are Smart Government, Smart Transport Mobility, Smart Digital Infrastructure and Smart Waste Management,” he said.
The State Government has decided on 12 main domains in forming Smart Selangor by targeting to increase delivery efficiency to Selangor citizens periodically through the Smart Selangor approach.
Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said that people-centric service is a key core for the Smart Selangor concept towards a ‘Citizen Centric State’ and driven by administration philosophy based on smart technology.
“The State Government’s main focus is to enhance the quality of life for its citizen using technology to increase service efficiency.
“Elements that will be emphasised are relating to transport and traffic system, security, crime prevention and law enforcement, solid waste management, water and energy resources,” he said.
