SHAH ALAM, DEC 6: The consistent development of Smart State Pembentukan Smart State by the State Government is not restricted to local and community issues.
Smart Selangor Delivery Unit Deputy Director Dr Fahmi Ngah said that the ocus also included a wider understanding of issues at the global level.
He said the initiative was made after taking into consideration the successful development in Amsterdam, Taiwan and Barcelona that implemented Smart City development in their countries.
“The Smart State initiative does not just focus on local issues, but is a global agenda that is undertaken by the State Government.
“The focus at the global level is required when we take into account the rapid development in other countries that are intensively developing their own Smart State agenda,” he said.
Dr Fahmi said that the State Government also faced a big challenge in implementing the Smart State agenda.
He said the large urban areas in the state require a more comprehensive approach to ensure that the agenda is a complete success.
