AnimalCare launches environment-friendly bag

BY: ERMIZI MUHAMAD
SHAH ALAM, JAN 3: In support of efforts to ban the use of plastic bags across the state in 2017, social establishment AnimalCare has stepped forward to promote the use of environment-friendly bags which are also comfortable for consumers.
The bag’s structure is hand-sewn, and they are sold for as low as RM60 each, with proceeds to be donated to animal-welfare funds.
What’s more special about it is that the production of the bag is a part of the initiative to prevent cruelty towards animals and and the environment caused by the use of plastic bags.
Created with four different designs of various colours and patterns, the public can purchase these bags via [email protected].
For enquiries, the public can also browse https://myanimalcare.org/2017/01/01/bebasplastik-campaign-buy-our-shopping-bags/.
Earlier, the State Government had launched a state-wide ban on plastics and polystyrene in business premises effective January 1.
Selangor had started to ban the use of plastic bags every Saturday since 2009 and is extending this to 7 days a week beginning 2017.
No Plastic Bag Day campaign aims to cultivate the spirit of loving the earth which is hoped to become a habit for communities across the state.
