Persiaran Barat PJ temporarily closed

SHAH ALAM, JAN 19 : Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) will temporarily close the route towards Persiaran Barat from the direction of Kuala Lumpur and a part of Jalan Utara, beginning February 15 until March 14.
MBPJ Corporate Communications Media Unit Secretariat said in a statement, that the closure is made to conduct a Persiaran Barat Road Users Safety Study.
Based on the statement, the closure is a part of recommendations by the Road Safety Consultant previously appointed by MBPJ.
“A road divider will be placed on Jalan Timur (next to Amcorp Mall) from the Jalan Timur flyover to the TNB building.
“Road users heading towards Amcorp Mall and in a similar direction, may continue onto the Federal Highway and take the flyover near PJ Hilton.

“Road users may also make a turn on the flyover towards Federal Highway heading to Kuala Lumpur, and come back up on the Jalan Timur flyover and head to Amcorp Mall safely,” said the statement.
Road users are advised to follow the road signs and directions from traffic officers to ensure smooth traffic flow.
