Disney on Ice returns with new characters

SUBANG, FEB 16: The Wonderful World of Disney on Ice is back this school holiday season after a five-year break with additional interesting characters, to be held at Malawati Stadium in Shah Alam, from March 24 to 26.
PR Worldwide Managing Director, Para Rajagopal said, this is the 17th year the company has brought the production to Malaysia to entertain the communities particularly children.
He said, the performance this time around will be more interesting with 120 ice-skaters from 20 countries.
“I am very excited this time as we could bring one of Disney’s biggest programme to Shah Alam for the first time this year.
“We expect 30,000 visitors throughout the three-day programme,” he said during The Wonderful World of Disney on Ice media conference at the Sunway Pyramid Ice, this morning.

Para said, the programme also features new characters among which are Anna and Elsa from the Frozen film and Finding Dory besides maintaining the other 50 characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Toy Story, Lion King, Aladdin and Snow White.
At the same time, he is also giving out free tickets as a charity drive to 32 orphans from Rumah Aman, Shah Alam to enjoy the show.
“Although we are in an unstable economy, I do hope that we receive good response since we have been making preparations for the last one year,” he said.
The programme organised by PR Worldwide and Feld Entertainment since year 2000 is also in collaboration with Tourism Selangor, Dutch Lady Milky, SP Setia, Maybank, Acapella Hotel Shah Alam dan Sunway Pyramid Ice as the official sponsor partner.
