Foreign Ministry confirms Malaysian student drowned in Karapiro Lake

PUTRAJAYA: FEB 28: The Foreign Ministry has confirmed that a Malaysian student in New Zealand, Abdul Amzar Azim bin Azmi has been found drowned in Karapiro Lake on Monday afternoon, February 27, 2017 by the local authorities.
He was missing since Sunday, February 26 at 3.30 in the evening while being with his friends in that location.
Officers from Malaysian High Commission in Wellington have arrived in Hamilton to help coordinate with the local authorities and to extend their support accordingly.
The Foreign Ministry expressed its condolences to the victim’s family and friends.
