MPK raid illegal gambling premises

SHAH ALAM, FEB 23: Four gambling premises disguised as snooker center in Jalan Klang Kelicap raided by a team of officer and a member of the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) in the Ops Entertainment, recently.
MPK Director of Corporate Communications, Norfiza Mahfiz said, the Council has seized three large machine simulator, 13 small simulator machine, 29 different types of snooker sticks and two sets of snooker balls.
“We have successfully raided the four snooker center and it turns out they are operating without a valid license and running a gambling business element.
“The raid was conducted at about 10 am on the information of the public and police intelligence in recent weeks,” she said.
Norfiza said all the seized items were then submitted to the MPK-store unit for further action.
Four units were subject to legal action by the Selangor Entertainment Enactment clubs and entertainment venues 1995 (amended 1998 and 2001).
