MPS first in Selangor to pledge for integrity and free from corruption

SHAH ALAM, FEB 16: The Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) is the first local authority in Selangor to respond to Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s (MACC) call to sign the Anti-Corruption Pledge (IBR) last February 13.
MPS Yang Dipertua, Sulima Abdul Rahman led the oath reading and signed the IBR, witnessed by Selangor MACC Director, Dato’ Wan Ramli Wan Abdullah.
Others who signed the pledge were MPS Timbalan Yang Dipertua, departmental directors and 43 MPS senior officials.

In his speech, Suliman said the initiative is a part of MPS’s effort to provide services in a fair, transparent, free from corruption and malpractice.
“A Round Table Discussion was also held during the same ceremony to present the results from discussion held between officers involved,” he said in statement.
Meanwhile, Wan Ramli said with the IBR, he wants the support and commitment from every officer involved to report any act of corruption in their daily dealings.
He added, discussion held with MPS Integrity Unit Head previously was also positive in building a stronger network in effort to enhance the integrity in the organisation particularly in combating corruption.
