Umno hired witnesses to object EC’s general investigations?

BY: ERMIZI MUHAMAD
SHAH ALAM, MAR 13: There is dispute on Umno Sepang’s involvement in the general investigation by the Election Commission (EC) this morning if they had ‘hired’ several individuals as objection witnesses.
The matter was disclosed by one of the Objected Person who revealed that the witnesses’ addresses are at Bangunan Umno Sepang, from a written statement he received this morning.
He did not rule out the possibility that Umno is behind the objection witnesses to ensure votes in their favour.
“I was called by EC this morning for investigation on their part, however information received was that objection witnesses’ address is Umno Sepang.

“Referring to my case, the Judge ordered the objector to pay a RM100 penalty and I believe this money came from Umno Sepang,” he said after going to the EC’s office this morning.
He confirmed his statement with documents linking two individuals as objectors and witnesses addressed at Bangunan Umno Sepang, Jalan 1D/2, Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, 43900 Sepang, Selangor.
At the same time, he said there were doubts when only a big majority of the Chinese community was called to testify in that case.
A survey by SelangorKini found approximately 50 Chinese individuals who are also voters in the Sepang Parliamentary seat who were called to testify to EC this morning.
They were all asked to attend concerning the new address registration relating to the alleged claim of unknown address of voters in that area.
However, speculation arise on a new objection to break-up votes of the Chinese and Malays in the Sepang parliamentary constituency.
Previously, there were allegations from Pakatan in Selangor linking the EC’s delineation of electoral boundaries to allow Umno to obtain a greater number of votes in the 14th General Election.
