SHAH ALAM, APR 19: The Smart Selangor Bus service in the Shah Alam City Council’s (MBSA) jurisdiction is receiving encouraging response, recording over 1 million passengers thus far.
MBSA Head of Corporate and Public Relations, Shahrin Ahmad said, the first route has recorded 1.2 million passengers, from July 15, 2015 until last February 28.
He said, the second and third routes which started operation on November 1, 2016 recorded 48,745 and 88,519 passengers respectively.
“Through this service, MBSA hopes to help to reduce the burden for those in need, due to the increasing cost of living.
“At the same time, we can also encourage the use of public transportation and reduce personal vehicles that release carbon monoxide gas.
