The activity was done in collaboration with Kuala Langat District Council (MDKL) Member, Lim Tou Yih,in support of State Government’s Bebas Beg Plastik campaign starting this year.
Morib Assemblyman, Hasnul Baharuddin said the recycled bags were distributed in public areas to raise awareness on the campaign.
“We did that to encourage the public to use other alternatives to support the campaign.
“These activities are done continuously and the response from the public has been encouraging, in support of the positive step taken by the State Government,” he said to SelangorKini.
Previously, the Morib Community Service Centre has done several similar activities and distributed over 500 recycled bags in the constituency.
Beginning January 1, the State Government has implemented a campaign banning the use of plastic bags and polystyrene in line with its policies against those two materials.
