SHAH ALAM, MAY 26: Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali urged the entire Muslim community in the country to celebrate Ramadan in unity and set aside their differences.
He said the month of Ramadan could serve as a way to strengthen the ummah through solidarity and the programmes conducted at Muslim institutions throughout the nation.
“While Muslims are faced with serious challenges, various programmes and activities have been implemented by the Muslim community is important in strengthening and promoting unity among Muslims.
“As such, mosques and suraus play an important role to bring together the community as well as present the image of Islam as Rahmatan Lil Alamin.
“It is our hope that our observance during this holy month will heal any divide and differences among Muslims and humanity in general,” he said in a statement.
At the same time, he was confident that the Muslim community especially in Selangor will perform their observances in accordance to the Al-Quran and Sunnah.
“Alhamdulillah, we have now entered the holy month of Ramadan, and it is time for us Muslims to instil spiritual strength, virtues and to cleanse and better ourselves.
“I am confident that mosques and suraus throughout Selangor, and also Malaysia, have made various preparations for Ihya’ Ramadhan activities,” he said.
